Kayle Hatt (Track Chair, 50 Days) (he/him)

Digital Change Agent, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS)

Kayle Hatt is an innovative public servant with experience in the Alphabet soup: PCO (Privy Council Office), TC (Transport Canada), FIN (Finance Canada), TBS (Treasury Board Secretariat), CCPA (Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives), FCM (Federation of Canadian Municipalities) and HoC (House of Commons).

He currently works as a Digital Change Analyst on Olivia Neal’s team in the Office of the Chief Information Officer of Canada, at TBS where he works on strategic planning and special projects related to digital transformation.

Kayle is passionate about systems thinking and using design thinking approaches to solve public policy problems. He was a participant in the Canada Beyond 150, which taught foresight methods to young, innovative public servants through a hands-on study of the challenges facing the future of government; and he is an evangelist for using foresight practices to guide government into an uncertain future.

He also volunteers with the Policy Ignite, a group of public servants and non-profit professionals that host grassroots idea jams and speed talks on policy innovation with the goal of igniting brilliant policy discussion in the Government of Canada and showing that leadership is “level-less”. Kayle has presented at 3 Ignites, has facilitated idea jams, and currently serves as the group’s CFO and co-chair.
